These alone can make a difference...

Don’t be afraid....   Really try to rid your life of fear...  It can be done.
Take God into account....  As an acquaintance years ago used to say, pay attention to ‘the spirit side of life’.
If there are things in your life that bother you, these things alone can make a big difference...

A Lot of Information...

We are made of God stuff.  Spirit is difficult to define but spirit is the basic god stuff.  Spirit is a high vibration and in order to live on planet earth we have to slow that vibration down.  Flesh and bone and all things physical are the stuff of earth and are infused with spirit.  Often and especially in the past, the low vibration flesh has obscured the spirit and we forget our connection to God.   We are in a time now... (all that 2012 stuff you hear about) when it is easier to access that part of us that is our connection to God and our spirit within.   Accessing this higher vibration part of ourselves allows us to access the information of spirit.  And that is a lot of information.

a View from Below...

I want to offer a couple of simple observations tonight.   You might remember from my other posts that the eagle and the hawk teach us to look at life, at everything, from a higher perspective.  It appears that was a lesson for me when I lived out on the ranch, the eagle flying high, the sparrowhawk hovering above the ground.  It appears, however, that my move is teaching me the opposite.  Here it is the chickadee and the towhee and even the frog and they are teaching me look at things from a view on the ground.  Look at things on a more intricate level and ground me to the point that I can see how things are from the ground up.   The chickadee has been a regular visitor to my balcony and this morning the towhee showed up.  Then while taking my dogpanion for a walk this morning I came across this little frog.   Thank you little ones for your beauty and your lessons.  

Something to Consider...

Something to consider.  I grew up with rifles.  As a boy I did some hunting.  I had kept a handgun for a long time into my adult life.  One day it occurred to me that while they are beautifully tooled machines, well made, somewhat intricate, they were killing machines.  The only reason a firearm was invented was to kill something.  They have been used in hunting and providing food for the table and that at one time was a legitimate use, but very few of us have to hunt or would even be able to hunt wild animals for food.  According to a website called ‘the legal community against violence’
www.icav.org “In 2009, guns took the lives of 31,347 Americans in homicides, suicides and unintentional shootings”.  That is more people killed by gun in the US than all of the U.S. soldiers killed during the Iraq war.  I’m sure if you have listened to the news at all you are aware of the deaths by firearm this year, 2012.   Guns are killing machines.  When I realized this I got rid of the guns I had.  I don’t even want to kill animals, let alone people.  Anyway, something to consider.  

It's For You...

2012 is turning out to be a very active year.  It is becoming a time when major change and major experiences are almost a daily occurrence.  The activity on the planet alone is an indication of things to come.  The planet and her occupants are making a major evolutionary change.  March 2012 has been the warmest March ever recorded.  Look at the destruction caused by the tornadoes in the U. S. midwest and central eastern United States.  A drought continues in Texas to the point where at least one small town has run out of water.  Water for the needs of the people has to be brought in by truck.  Statistics like this can be found in newspapers and online.   The planet is birthing a new world, a time when peace will be possible.   However, in the mean time some of these changes will be frightening.  If we can keep from falling into fear and remain positive we can hold the energy for this positive change.  We can even help bring about the kind of world we want.   Eliminating the fear may be the most difficult part of this but remember that we are eternal souls and we are here to help birth a clean beautiful life on earth.   Death has no permanence for us.  Christian Holy Scriptures even tell us this.  Try not to be afraid and hold a positive attitude.  It’s for you, your descendants and the earth.

Take a look at yourself...
Have you ever felt you aren’t living up to your potential?
It is important to assess yourself.
It is important to know yourself.
What do you really love?
What do you really enjoy doing?
What makes your heart sing?
Who are you really?
If there are areas of your life you are afraid to look at.
Those are the areas that you need the most to look at.
Don’t be afraid to look at yourself.
You are an eternal spirit having a physical life on earth.
Physical life is difficult sometimes. 
Sometimes that is the point...

Did you know that there are complete free translations of the major religious writings on the internet.  The complete Christian Bible, the Qur’an, the Torah are ones that I have accessed.  Different translations, different languages.   There are even many free sources of information on the less traditional newer writings.  Many people prefer the structure and support of an organized religion.  I would hope, however, that individuals would be willing and able to evaluate for themselves a religious group they belong to or are anticipating joining.  And as you evaluate where you are and where you want to be, remember that all paths lead back God, some may just take a little longer to get there.

From the Aerie...

My apartment has a rather unique configuration.   It is in a building that faces onto a protected area of forest and wetlands in the city.    It is an area that humans are not allowed to be in.  The apartment is up a couple of floors so it has the feeling of being totally wild one side and modern society on the other.    It feels like an eagle’s or condor nest high on a mountain cliff.  It feels like an aerie.    Sparrowhawk in an eagle’s nest.   I like that idea.  Yesterday I wrote of the characteristics of Spiritual Masters.     I think I want to add something to those characteristics.  Spiritual Masters see everything all the time from a higher perspective.  They live in that vibration, that space that is their eagle’s nest, their aerie.   Being able to see things from a higher perspective means that you can see both sides to a story.  You get a larger perspective because you can see all around, and someone that is awake as a master  can see the levels of vibration and emotion and energy as well as the physical action.  Your higher perspective means you understand the reasons behind something.  You understand the contacts and contracts we have with others.   You know there is so much more than what we see.   We all have this place within us, our eagles nest, where we can see from this perspective.  It takes some work to find that place and learn to live from it but it is another characteristic of a Spiritual Master that is worth striving for.  

Mastery...

What do the great spiritual masters all have in common?
Unconditional Love
They do not take things personally
They see the Divine in everyone and everything
They know how to handle fear
They do not judge

Is spiritual mastery something we can strive for?
Is it something we should strive for?
It certainly is something to pay attention too.  

Think it, Imagine it...

Life can be difficult and when we grow older some things can be even more difficult.  I guess a lot of us older types have developed wisdom, or at least what we try to make look like wisdom because it is too hard to do anything else.  It has been said that in the new world, the new earth, we will live a long healthy painfree life.  Also we will bring into the world in our next life all that we learned this time around and all the others lives, so maybe that wisdom isn’t such a bad idea.   Imagine a baby born with the wisdom and knowledge of an older person.  It is also said that some children born with Autism are one of these types, they are being born before their time in order to help bring forth this new world.   Thats why we are told that we WILL come back.  We won’t miss a world of peace, wisdom, based on love, something we have worked for for lots of lives.  There is no time in spirit so there is no date when this will happen but lets do it.  Help me think it into being.  Think it, Imagine it, a new earth.

Doing it right...

I have talked quite a lot in these musings about how much of what we are is the result of  what happened to us very early in our childhoods.    Childhoods when we had little choice but to accept what was presented to us by family, teachers, peers, our religious leaders.   I keep coming back to what I have carried over from that early time of life which is that “I don’t/can’t do it right”.     And I can’t often predict which ‘it’, which current situation will trigger that feeling of not being able to ‘do it right’.  It looks as though I will get plenty of opportunities to let go of this carryover.   I am finding it is definitely not as easy as even I make it sound sometimes.    And what happens when something is so badly done that you can’t do it right no matter how hard you try?  In other words there are some times when it is not possible through no fault of my own ‘to do it right’.   I guess it comes down to acceptance and not letting it bother you.  That will be the next one I guess.  Accepting the fact that there are somethings I can’t do to my satisfaction and being okay with it.   I was able to take better crow pictures today.  I was able to do that right.   

Something Special...

During the night last night I had an interesting meeting with a spider...   One of the sites that I look at for totem meanings www.linsdomain.com  states that the spider’s 8 legs represent the 4 winds of change...  
Today I moved into my new apartment in the city.   That in itself is a change, a big change from the ranch.   The image of the crow on this post was the first photo taken from my apartment.  I think that one came to greet me...Crow is called the left handed guardian and an omen of change... mmmmm there is that word again... change...  on www.birdclan.org this is said about crow:   “Do not try to figure crow out. It is the power of the unknown at work, and something special is about to happen.”
I have had a lot of special things happen in the past year or so.   I like the idea of something special happening.
