Some Thoughts on Fear... and Courage

Courage is doing something you don’t want to do or are afraid to do.   Not wanting to do something doesn’t necessarily mean you are afraid to do it.   Choice means you can decide for yourself if you want to do something whether it is something you simply don’t want to do or are afraid to do.   In both instances you weigh the positive results against the negative results and then make your decision.  It is said that if you are afraid of something to ‘feel the fear and do it anyway’.  Good advice but you may need to decide what you are actually feeling.
Anxiety and worry are forms of fear.  Anxiety and worry are both the fear of something that may or may not happen and in fact, may or may not even be real.  If you can recognize something as fear try to get into the feeling.  The more you can feel the feeling the more you will face the fear and and start to release it.   If life doesn’t seem to be working for you or there are some things you want in life and you haven’t been able to get those things you might want to consider assessing yourself to see if there is a fear that is holding you back.   And remember... anxiety and worry are forms of fear also.
