A Blanket of Calm...

 

Tonight the middle east is again aflame.  Israel is calling up its reservists and Palestine is again bombarding Israel with missiles.  I would like to request your assistance in sending blankets of positive energy to that entire area.  Do not send the energy or prayers because you hate war or because you want one side to win this conflict, simply lay down a cover of love on the entire area.   Send a layer of support for the peacemakers that are there.   Take a moment to send a layer of calm... Prayers of love and support to the entire area.    If our prayers and energy support helps calm even a little it will be worth it.   It only need take a moment.  And while you are thinking of it, tell your friends and loved ones to joint the world wide support group for Israel and the Palestinians.   Send both sides the strength to make positive decisions.   Thank you for your thoughts and help.  

and Jesus said: "Peace Be Still"...

Of all the great teachers, probably the one that the people of the west are most acquainted with is a Jewish man known as Jesus.   And yet what do we know?  So much as been added and subtracted to his legacy long after his death and resurrection.
If we look only to the words of Matthew, his follower we can find these:
‘Judge not that you be not judged.
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing...
You shall know them by their fruits.’
and,’ Ask, and it will be given to you ; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.’   
And then there is: ‘Love you enemy, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you.’
Those are not easy things to do.  But think about them.  Do they feel like they would be the teachings of a great teacher?  From what you know of Jesus, do they sound like they would be his teachings?  Are they worth paying attention to?
And at this time when storms rage in the oceans and over land, remember the story of Jesus in the fishing boat.  He was tired from all the demands of the people who wanted his healing, his attention, just being next to him, and had gone out with his friends on the lake and laid down in the boat to sleep.  It seemed that being out on the water was the only way he could get some time to himself.  A storm came up and his friends that were on the boat with him, who knew him best, became frightened.  They woke him up.  He was a bit upset and called them men of little faith.  Then he stood up and spoke to the storm.   “peace, be still”  The storm quieted.  His followers were in awe.  Who is this man?
If we call ourselves Christians we need to ask that question... of ourselves... Who is/was this man?  Is he God, is he Man?  Does he perhaps teach us that there is god in all of us?  Peace, Be Still...

Maybe the Search is Not Your Thing...

Maybe the search for spiritual information and truth is not your thing but you might consider at least trying to increase your life happiness, peace and joy.  You will be so much happier and it will leave an impression on the planet and on others, especially those close to you.  If a teacher or religion does not promote peace and love I would think twice about following that teacher or religion.   And even if you aren’t in an avid search for spiritual truths, maybe the one closest to you or a child close to you might be the searching one or is to become one.   Always keep in mind how what you do and believe affects those around you and the planet.  

The Key to Joy...

In my search I am led from one bit of information to another. My hope is that by sharing some of what I find another can find that next bit of information that is looking for them.   These are quotes from Power vs. Force by David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.
"The key to Joy is unconditional kindness to all life, including one's own, which we refer to as compassion.  Without compassion, little of any significance is ever accomplished in human endeavor."    Page 73
"Numerous bestselling books have told us that to love is to live healthily-but love of our fellow man can ensue only when we stop condemning, fearing, and hating each other."  page 220
"Relatively few people are genuinely committed to peace as a realisitic goal, for in their private lives, most people prefer being "right" at whatever cost to their relationships or themselves.  A self-justified personality is the real enemy of peace."  Page 221

What it Means to "Be....."

Remember that quote from Gandhi that we see often?  “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”

Have you ever really thought about what that means?  It means that there will never really be peace in the world till you are peaceful.  If you are not able to find peace within yourself, if you get angry when someone cuts you off on the road, if you are judgemental of someone who is not like yourself, you will never find peace within yourself. 
There is good news, however.  If you set your intent... declare to yourself that it is your intention to ‘be the change’, intend to heal those things in you that need healing, become the peace you wish to see in the world, things will start to change for you. 
The intention is enough to get it started and awareness and paying attention to your inner guidance will keep it going.  The other good thing is that once you start working on these things for yourself that energy moves out into your world.   It will effect your children, your husband, your friends, your enemies and the planet itself.  
This is what it means to “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”

Peace on Earth with all the Fixin's...

From various ancient word of mouth stories and manuscripts It appears that our planet has been through four or five incarnations.   In other words civilization has essentially ended and been reborn 4 or 5 times.   According to current information also from various sources this time around we were able to do what was necessary to get beyond the end of the world scenarios and are on track to birth ourselves into a mature, creative, peaceful race.  To look out onto the world right now, listen to our news programs, and read our newspapers it certainly doesn’t look like we are on the road to a peaceful world.   However I also agree with the idea that the evil men do is exactly that... evil that men do.   And if we cause a problem that means we can solve those problems.
It will mean being painfully honest with ourselves and taking full responsibility for ourselves and our race.   That which separates us from our animal friends is the fact that WE CAN THINK.    Our lives are not decided by instinct and beyond our control.
If we are in line to create a golden age, a new dawn, a peaceful creative world then I believe we can make the choices that will get us there.   Think about it my friends....   then be honest and be responsible and help our children create Peace on Earth with all the fixin’s.    

A Beautiful Gesture of Hope and Unity...

I have written before in this space how we cannot let fear take hold of us during this time.   It is a momentous time of great changes that, just as a child being born, can produce great fear and pain.   Amidst all the glaring headlines about wildfire and flood, politicians at war with each other over cultural differences and saying things we aren’t sure if we can believe or not, we may have missed a headline about another historical occasion.  On June 27, two days ago, the queen of England made peace with a long standing former commander of the Irish Republican Army.   A man who was responsible for a great deal of violence and death and possibly even the death of the queen’s own cousin Lord Louis Mountbatten in 1979.  In 2005 the IRA disbanded and gave up the violence.  Two years later Martin McGuinness, this once commander of the IRA, became  the senior Catholic politician in a new unity government in Ireland.  On Wed. June 27, 2012, in a visit to Ireland, Mr McGuinness and Queen Elizabeth shook hands making a show of unity and the continued peaceful search for ways to end conflict. 
Amidst all of the changes taking place, some of them not so pleasant, let us not miss this highly symbolic gesture of Unity and Hope.    If you wish to know more about this occasion simply google ‘queen shakes hand’.  It is a beautiful and hopeful story.  

What Would you Choose...

I would choose for you love given and love received. 
I would choose for you to see and recognize the face of God.
I would choose for you no fear, worry or anxiety.
I would choose for you a life free of drama and full of peace. 
I would choose for you a world of love and free from war.
I would choose for you a world free of hunger.
I would choose for you all these and more...
What would you choose for you? 

In a NutShell...

Spirituality is important.
Fear is the opposite of love.
There is no hell and no satanic being.
God is as much within as without.
The evil that men do is human generated.
To bring about peace on the planet one must know peace within.
Things would change very quickly if everyone tried to be nice to each other. 

So for your Children's sake, for your own sake....

Remember how the flight attendant goes over the safety rules and rules of flight just before you taxi off the runway and begin your flight somewhere?  Remember how he/she tells you that if oxygen is needed these plastic cups on a tube will drop down and they show you how to put them on, but then goes on to tell us if we are flying with children or others who need assistance to always do ours first and then, and only then, help the other person or the children.  Well this is how the quest for peace on earth goes.   Changing anything for the good, for that matter.  We can't be any good to someone else if we haven't first taken care of ourselves.   And that doesn't mean perfect, just that you are working on yourself and trying your hardest to do your best.   Also you don't even have to try to be the perfect super hero and bring about peace on earth or some other great deed if you work on yourself.  Those great and wonderful things will just happen.  So for your children's sake, for the planets sake, for that matter for your own sake, work on yourself.    

The Longing for Home...

It has been said that the motivation for all human endeavor is the soul’s search for home.  When we are born we forget what life was like in Spirit but our soul remembers enough to create a longing for what we have lost,  what we once had in Spirit.  It is this longing that is the underlying motivation for the human search for God, happiness, money, love.  There is such a longing for our Spirit home that many of us are willing to believe anything that claims to provide us with a fulfillment of that longing.   It accounts for overachievers, fundamentalists and yes the creation of saints and mystics. 
Now if  we understand this and take into account that there is this underlying motivation we can use to become creators of heaven on earth.  One more way to work toward Peace on Earth and healing the earth and it’s inhabitants.   

It is Essential to Remember...

We are in the midst of changing times.  You may have seen on the news about May Day riots.  There is extreme weather everywhere you look.  Financial systems are under fire with personal and national debt.  You know the rest.  I know I have talked about this before but it is essential to remember that what we see will have a positive outcome.  The conspiracy theories of the past may have been true but they are being exposed now.   People can talk to each other all over the world as well as next door and this is part of what is bringing about  these changes.   It is to the point where very few secrets can be kept if there are those who are looking for those secrets.   Political scandals abound.... They are being exposed.  The younger generation is more aware and very technology savvy.   They have new and different ideas about how to handle the problems of the past.  They will show us how to get our financial systems in order.  They will show us new ways of obtaining our energy and power needs.  They will come up with ideas that no one has even thought of, simple ideas that will start to solve the problems of the planet.  A lot of us older ones will be shaking our heads, asking ourselves why we didn’t think of that.  Why hasn’t anyone thought of this before.  But all of this will happen in the midst of a lot of chaos and it will look as though the world is falling apart.   Simply remember there is no reason to be afraid and that these changes are necessary for Planet Earth and her people to reach those long time/ long term goals of a sustainable planet and yes.... Peace on Earth.  

We are the way-showers.

What have you experienced in weather?  Extreme wind, lots of rain, no rain, lots of snow, tornados, extreme heat for the time of year, extreme cold for the of the year?  Have you seen the news lately?  Did you notice that there are a lot of stories about bullying, racism, Autism,  war atrocities, attempts at peace making, politicians exposed for their true selves.  Remember to stay positive about these things.  Look at these phenomena for what they are, the dying throes of ways that no long work.  Just as a wound often has to be opened, exposed and cleaned before it can be healed, that is what is happening to our world.  If we allow our anger and fear to take over we will only prolong the birth of what religious writing has called ‘the new Jerusalem’.  The dawn of a peaceful planet needs our belief in it.   Others need to see and feel our personal vibration of peace, love and harmony.  Others need us to support their own awakening to a positive world and a positive life.   We are the way-showers.  

Are you a harmonizer?

One of the Facebook group/individuals that I follow posted a quote from the late Sri Chinmoy, a spiritual teacher originally from India.   That quote: “Peace does not mean the absence of war. 
Peace means the presence of harmony, 
love, satisfaction and oneness."

I was struck by the inclusion of the word harmony in that quote.    Which reminded me that Michael Newton, Ph.D. in his book, DESTINY OF SOULS, describes souls that come to earth with specialities, one of which is a ‘harmonizer soul’.    My understanding of what he said about harmonizer souls is that they are people who specialize in balancing the energy of human interaction.  He goes on to say that harmonizer souls might be statesmen, inspirational messengers, negotiators, artists, musicians, writers.   When I worked in social services it certainly appeared that we were doing a lot of harmonizing.   I also understand Newton to say that these are not healers in the traditional sense of the word.    I have always felt that many social workers are ‘healers of the heart’.   Social workers/case managers/healers of the heart, I honor you.   Reader look within.  Are you a harmonizer? 

Even My Small Efforts.....

“Greetings dear ones, I am Kryon of Magnetic Service.”  Thus begins a session by Lee Carroll of the spirit essence that speaks through him.  Kryon has been speaking through Lee since 1989 and while I knew about it I didn’t pay any attention to it until sometime last year.  Since, I found that I resonate with the message, I don’t have to join, I don’t have to pay anything for the information, and it is the most positive message I have ever heard.  There are books that can be purchased and live meetings that can be attended but to get the information free all one has to do is go to the website Kryon.com and it is all there to read or download for free.   In one of the books that I am currently reading I found this affirmation or declaration that I want to share because it speaks to what we can do to help bring about a world of love and peace.  It is simple and easy to repeat and here it is:  “I am that I am, and the divinity in me is going to make a difference on this planet.  I feel the truth when I hear it and when I read it.  Even my small efforts will create an energy that is larger than I can imagine, combined with others, to create peace on Earth.”  Page 172 KRYON Book 11 from a channeling in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in August 2006.  

Peace on Earth is happening now.... believe

I used to be depressed and resentful that each year, once a year, we sang the song and made our wishes to each other, "peace on earth, goodwill toward man".  As far as I could tell we have always been in war of some sort here on the planet.  And every year during the time that the merchants rely on to make their profit, we smile and repeat those words... "peace on earth". 
This year I truly believe it has begun.  It will be a long time before we see a laying down of all arms but this is a birth that is happening.  People are finally getting tired of being ruled by despots and wealthy entrepreneurs and some are doing something about it.   Change is taking place and has come a long way even in this, 2011, the year of illumination.   The last week of December I will list many of these changes.  I think you will be as amazed as I was how many and the depth these changes on the planet have taken.   For now, allow the peace to begin where it has to, inside yourself.  For now... I wish you peace.

Birth Peace on Earth...

As the days count down to the Winter Solstice and we begin to reflect on the year passed we have the opportunity to add our positive thoughts about what it all means.   It has been a year of unrest with many changes but if we choose to look at them as positive changes I think we can help bring about those positive changes that we all so want to see.   So bless all of the life that has been lost, the impact of violence, and know that this is what needs to be in order to birth "peace on earth goodwill toward humankind."

Heal Yourself...

I see two steps to healing the world and bringing about peace on earth.  They are simply treat others the way you wish to be treated and heal yourself.   

You heal the other by treating them as you would be treated.

You heal the world by healing yourself. 

You heal yourself by finding the Source within.

Create Peace in Your Life....

There are times when something is said so well and says so much that I want to share it. 
"As you solve the puzzles of duality, create peace in your life, and claim the power of the creator inside, DNA knows it and this layer is used to increase the power to your cellular structure to live longer, think in a balanced way, conquer fear, heal itself, and move into an entirely new paradigm."  Kryon Book 12

Hope..... I think so.......

The battle raged.  What once had been a beautiful valley now was filled with smoke, covered with blood and rang with the clang of weapons and cries of battle and dying men.   The sun was overhead and the fighting had only gotten heavier when almost on cue from opposite sides the women started to move out onto the battlefield.   Grandmothers, mothers, daughters, sisters, unarmed but with their heads held high were walking steadily out into the midst of the smoke and battle.   It took a few minutes for the soldiers to realize what was happening.    One woman clutched her breast as a red stain covered the front of her garment.  The fighting slowed down.   Commanders behind the lines could be heard berating the men and urging the fighting to continue.   Another woman, an old one, fell to the ground.   A young soldier near the front suddenly cried "mother" and dropped his weapon and ran to a woman approaching from one side.   There were women from both sides moving out into the field, many stopping by a downed soldier, some tending to the fallen women, most moving resolutely out into they
center of the now slowing action.   One by one soldiers on both sides started dropping their weapons.   Commanders berated and threatened but by now the soldiers were abandoning the fight, some running to specific women, some walking off to the side, heads down.   
Word spread of that day, the day the women stopped the battle.   It took some time but the war ended sooner than later, a peace treaty brokered by women.    The mothers and grandmothers finally had enough and had decided to do something about it.  
The above is a story, a fairy tale.   I know of no place this actually happened.   But today, October 7, 2011, three women were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.   Hope.....  I think so.......
