Run away, run away...

There is a funny scene in MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL, where King Arthur and the knights of the round table are going into the cave to slay the dragon.  Something spooks them and Arthur yells, “run away” and the knights repeat, “run away, run away” all the while running for their lives.   The camera returns to the mouth of the cave and out comes a rabbit.  
The one thing that most current writers on spirituality agree is that fear is the thing that most keeps us from growth and the unconditional expression of love.   And, in fact, fear not hate, is considered the opposite of love.   Fear was designed as a warning system for the human but the truth is, the more you can reduce the fear in your life, the more you will feel the love of God and the more you will be able to express that love.  When we claim our power to make choices about our lives those choices will not be made in fear.  
One of our biggest fears still is that we are afraid of death.  A lot of things can happen to us here on Planet Earth but we do not need to be afraid to die.  We are eternal beings and our core, our soul, our essence lives on.  Death is simply a change of energy. 
Assess how much drama you want in your life.  Assess your fears.   Then just let them go... and keep letting them go.  The fear will go away and you will be left with a peace that passes all understanding.   You will no longer be running away scared of a dragon which is only a rabbit. 

Think of the happy and the joyful instead of the worrisome.

Are you prone to worrying about the future?  In a place of free will the probabilities exist for the worry scenarios.   But in a place of free will the joy scenarios, the happy scenarios have their probabilities also.  You have heard, have you not, of a fairly widely used saying, Like attracts Like.  I haven’t researched to see if there is any scientific basis for it but it seems to work.  If there is fun and happiness in your life you really do seem to attract more of the same.  And it really seems to be true that if you have money you can attract more of it.  Like attracts like is one of the ways that the potentials work regarding the future.   It only seems logical then that one should concentrate on what seems like the positive potentials because the more one concentrates on these and the more people that concentrate on them the more likely you will attract those positive potentialities.  Remember the book, THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING?  And in a world of a lot of worriesome things our thinking about the happy and joyful things could be that light in the darkness that attracts enough happy and joyful scenarios that tips the scale.   You might think that this is all pretty obvious or maybe doesnt’t work but we have a tendency to get so caught up in the drama of our own lives or the drama we see on the evening news that we forget that our words and our thoughts set our emotional state.   As we think so we are.    So try not to put too much energy on the worriesome things.  Think of the happy and the joyful.  

“Risking our heart is why we are alive.....”

Songs fill my head and my heart with just about every emotion I have.   Sometimes they  match the emotion, sometimes they simply match the time and place.   Sometimes they match a memory and sometimes they are the memory.  “What’s it all about Alfie?” “Oh love that will not let me go”.   So many songs are about Love.  Looking for it, finding it, losing it.  “Oh love that will not let me go” is the title to an old  hymn.  My mother loved the church music.  I think I may have gotten that from her.   Most of my life has been about a search for God and a search for love.  And we have always been told that God is Love.  “Risking our heart is why we are alive” is a quote from a television show tonight.  A writer and a cop, falling in love, resisting love.   I would bet that if we were to find the source/the reason for all we do it would all come down to risking our heart, searching for love, searching for God.      Remember in your search to look into your heart.  The risk is probably that we just might find what we are looking for. 

What about a Beforelife?

Have you ever noticed that human’s seem to have a concern about afterlife, what happens to us when we die, but rarely do you hear anyone asking what happens before a soul enters a physical life.
Michael Newton, PhD.  is a hypnotherapist who became interested in what happens to us BEFORE as well after our physical lives.

So what about a beforelife?  Well there is one and a lot of it is spent planning for the next life on the planet. 

The winds of Change...

With the winds of change literally knocking at the east coast door of the US send some love to the planet.  Throw a blanket of calm over the entire area and ask that your love and comfort go to whomever and what ever wants and needs it the most.

The channeled consciousness Kryon announces every time at events that there is a group called the entourage that is there to hold the energy for the audience and to help them understand what is being taught or said.  Sometimes they are described as angels, spirits, even just energy.   Kryon also writes that there are spirit beings present when someone reads the information.   I had printed one of the channelings from the Kryon website, printing is free and encouraged,  and had taken it with me this morning to read.  When I read, “There’s a group who is settled in this place and who’s also around the chair of the reader.”  I started laughing because I realized where I was sitting.   I believe there were angels in my bathroom this morning.  I think they were laughing also. 

Fear is something humans do...

 Fear is something humans do.  Fear of lack, fear of death, fear of nothing after death, fear of so many things.   On Tuesday an earthquake hit the east coast of the United States, a place not known for them.  Today an earthquake hit Peru.  Peru has been known to have such before.  A Hurricane is currently in the Atlantic Ocean heading toward the east coast of the United States.  These are fear inducing situations.   Earthquakes, storms, other such phenomena are natural occurrences.   And they can be destructive and cause physical damage, even death.  But we can stand through the strongest storm.  Even if our physical bodies and our collection of things are destroyed the human is eternal.   We do not have to be afraid.  Facing our fear and learning that it does not have to take hold of us is difficult but not impossible and it certainly makes facing our world much easier.  

God is like a tree.

And the Master said...
God is like a tree.   A tree has many parts.  There are leaves, branches, twigs, bark, roots, as well as flowers and fruit.  Some even have thorns.  God is the entire tree.  You and I  and all other creation may be likened to a leaf, or a twig or even a cell, a fragment of bark.  But God is the entire tree.  The leaves may fall, flowers and fruit come and go, but the tree is always there. 
The student spoke up, “Yes Master I understand your meaning.  We are a part of God.   Each is a part of the whole but the whole is God.”

pay attention, think big, and look beyond....

The Sparrowhawk is the smallest falcon and thus the smallest hawk in North America.  
The hawks are the messengers of the bird and animal kingdom and when the Sparrowhawk brings us its message it also encourages us to pay attention.  Sometimes we can over look the small things thinking they aren’t important but they may be that which leads us to the very thing we desire.     Sparrowhawk also tells us to watch for and pay attention to synchronicities.  What may appear to only be a coincidence may be that which is our next step.   As our solar system and our galaxy move closer to completing the galactic alignment the synchronicities will appear frequently and sooner.  What once took a great deal of time to manifest can happen quickly and it is through synchronicity that we are led to that which we desire.  The messenger and its message may appear small and insignificant but Sparrowhawk encourages us to pay attention, think big, and look beyond....

Be....

You look around and see stagnation and decay.  People and institutions are falling apart.   You ask what can I do?   And there in that still small voice is the answer.  Be a light in the darkness.  Be a beautiful flower among stagnation and decay.  Your light, your beauty becomes grounded in the earth itself, it is there for all to see.  You will never know who and how many you have touched.   Be a light.   Be that beautiful flower.... Be.......

If I were to write a song for you God...

If I were to write a song for you God it would say how happy I am.
It would say I love you God.  God without, God within, I love you.
The journey has been long but here You are, always waiting,
always loving, always beckoning.  Loving you God is loving me, and loving all of life.   Perhaps that is the purpose for a human’s life.  If we can forget You, then remember You, and then find You, is that not enough purpose?  I searched for You in books, in churches, in meditation, and I found You within.  I found You in the little dog that sleeps by my side, in the birds of the air.  In my loved ones eyes I found You. 
If I were to write a song for you God it would say how happy I am.   

12.21.2012, an 11 vibration

Did you realize that 12.21.2012 has an eleven vibration.   11 ...  enlightenment and illumination.  As we move into the last half of 2011 the rumors of doom are again flying. 
If you are getting that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach, if you are descending into fear, if you are worrying about what will happen, just take some deep breaths.   Think about what you are feeling.  What do you fear the most?  What is the worst that could happen to you.  You are a powerful eternal spirit having an exciting experience in a physical body.   Something you have done more than once.  Let go of the fear.  If you are worried about anything, feeling fear about anything real or imagined, just let go... You are safe, you are surrounded by love.  It is illuminating that the vibration of 12.21.2012 is the 11.  Its not about doom.  It is about light.   

there is much to distract us...

And Sparrowhawk said to the master.  “But Master, I do not see love in the world.  I still see war and fighting and poverty and sickness.”  The master smiled and put his hand on young Sparrowhawk’s head.   “My child do you feel loved?” 
“Yes master, I feel loved by you and by God.” 
“Sparrowhawk, did you see the woman with the child?  Was she not showing much love for the child?”
“Yes Master.”
“And did you not see, the friends and the physicians helping and healing the ones who were hurt in the violence?” 
“Yes Master.”
“Sometimes, Sparrowhawk, We cannot see the love around us and in action because there is much to distract us.   It is this love that is drawing people together.  And it is this that will show people how much better the ways of love and unity are than war and greed.  Do not be afraid.  Do not be afraid of the storms and earthquakes.  Mother earth is taking care of herself.  You can only change yourself.   If you wish peace than be peace, If you wish healing and enough for all, in whatever way you can, heal yourself and be content with what you have and share what you can.  Be the love and you will see it returned to you.”
“Yes Master..”  Sparrowhawk was smiling again.  “I love you Master”
“I love you too Sparrowhawk.”

“And if God is just a song?”

In the late 1990s two books came out authored by Mary Doria Russell.  The first was called THE SPARROW and the second, a sequel, THE CHILDREN OF GOD.  The premise on these two novels was roughly this:  In exploration of the continents on earth the Jesuits were often among the first to follow the conquerors with the intention of converting the conquered people to Christianity.  What if this continued with space exploration?  Both stories are allegories about the cruelty of one being to another and the redemption of such acts.   In THE CHILDREN OF GOD on the discovered planet a child, Isaac, is born who is a music savant.  He believes his music is proof of God.  Often books have a few short sentences that are so beautiful and profound and contain so much insight:
“Go back down the mountain, my heart,” Suukmel advised serenely.  “Listen to Isaac’s music again.  Remember what you thought when you first heard it.  Know that if we are children of one God, we can make ourselves one family in time.”
“And if God is just a song?”  Ha’anala asked, alone and frightened.
Suukmel did not answer for awhile.  Finally she said, “Our task is the same.” 

...know that God is Love.

There are negative things in life.  After all this is a world of polarity, opposites, negative and positive.  Yet it is moments of clarity and beauty that we see and know God and we see and know that God is Love. 

The Possibilities are Endless....

When the planet earth was created a call went out for souls who would volunteer to come to this beautiful place as an experience of separation from the creative and loving  matrix of the Prime Force.   It was and is a place of free will and free choice and the souls began coming, volunteering, clothing themselves in denser bodies of flesh.  Over time these souls, many returning over and over again, forgot that they were pieces of the the Prime Creator.   In this forgetting they forgot who they were and how connected they were to each other and to the Creator, the One that was called God.  Having forgotten who and what they were they made up images of God but they could only describe these images in terms they could understand and thus was born a god made in the image of man.  
The lower vibration of this planet is now changing.   Some are beginning to remember who they are.  Some are returning as children who are open to their connection with the Creator.   Many of them we call sick or different because we do not see or feel the connection they have.   It is easier now to remember our connection to the Creator and to each other.   It is this that will make it possible to create peace on the planet and enjoy what life can really be.  It is the awakening that is causing upheaval and the clearing out of the old energy.   And as we awaken to the Creator in us the possibilities are endless.   

Blessings of the August Full Moon...

Saturday Aug 13, 2011, is the full moon and near the peak of the Perseid meteor shower.  The heavens will be full of light and energy.   The summer full moon is at the peak of growth and creativity.   A full moon in the spring offers promise of a great growing season and the height of preparation for autumn and winter months to come.   The autumn full moon is a time of harvest, of gathering in, a time when you will begin to know if there will be enough to make it through the cold darkness of the winter.  The summer full moon shines brightly on growth, busyness, and hard work.   Take advantage of the wonderful feminine energy of this full moon to send peace and light to those places and people on the planet that need it.   And take a moment to thank that beautiful moon for its light and mother earth for putting up with us humans and providing all she does.   May the light and energy of this August, 2011,  full moon bring you abundance and blessings beyond your wildest dreams.  

The Gift...

Hawk had not paid attention to his intuition, his inner knowing.  He had not taken the time to tune in, he was in a hurry and now he was lost....  There were tribal members and family that depended on him and by not paying attention he was letting them down.   Wanting to scream his frustration to the sky instead he calmed himself and pulled his horse to a stop and stepped to the ground.    He raised his eyes to the sky and whispered almost under his breath.  “Hawk, my teacher and guide show me where I need to go and how to find my way. I will pay attention.”  He heard the cry of a hawk high above him and saw its shadow so high it was nearly lost in the sun.    In his mind he heard the soft voice of spirit, “you know the way, you always have.  Let your heart be your guide.”  And  at that moment exactly he saw across the valley the great outcrop of rock that marked where he had to go.     He glanced upward to the hawk that was no longer visible and uttered a heartfelt “thank you”.
As he was about to mount again to resume his journey he glanced down.   On the ground immediately beneath him was a beautiful hawk feather.   He knelt down to pick up the gift with a smile and again whispered “Thank you”.   

Don’t be afraid of curiosity.

Don’t be afraid of curiosity. 
Encourage it in our children.
Ask questions.
Question everything.
Even yourself.
With one exception, don’t question that you are great and good and loved.
Make it so the children don’t have to question that they are good and great and loved. 
Encourage their curiosity and let them know they are perfect and loved.

My Heart Sings....

This is a rare extra edition of Sparrow Hawk Speaks because I want to tell you about a synchronicity.   The last blog entry spoke of “a time that Spirit awakened in flesh and the Creator was able to openly and lovingly share its Creation with it’s created.”   I first read of this idea of God coming into flesh through us, the Created, in the book, VISION, by Ken Carey.   After my lifetime search for God this was an idea that made my heart sing and my eyes well up with tears of joy.  Perusing my email this night I read the newsletter “The Unknown Country” from Whitley Strieber, 
about an interview with astrophysicist Bernard Haisch who has written two books, THE GOD THEORY  and THE PURPOSE-GUIDED UNIVERSE.  The newsletter gave Mr Haisch’s website www.thegodtheory.com and on it he has the preface to THE PURPOSE-GUIDED UNIVERSE.  I’ll let these quotes from that preface speak for themselves. 
“If God is responsible for creating the universe (in the Big Bang), why in heaven's name did he do this? The answer, I believe, is to experience physical reality in all the diverse ways possible in such a universe.”
“An infinite intelligence selects an ensemble of compatible ideas that then become the laws of nature of a given universe. The proper combination results in a universe where life can originate and evolve and the consciousness of God can then experience its potential. This does indeed give us each a great life's purpose: to create God's experience as the incarnations of him in physical form.”
“The Jesuit paleontologist Teilhard de Chardin wrote: "Surely we are not human beings having a spiritual experience, but spiritual beings having a human experience." I would modify this to say: We are God having a human experience.”
My heart sings....

Spirit awakened in flesh...

Somewhere toward the third generation of the 21st century a vital but very old woman posts on her equivalent of facebook that she has lived a very happy and fulfilled life.  She recounts in a linear fashion how in the latter part of the 20th century the energy of  the planet began to change. 
She will recall how dictators were falling one after the other, to be replaced by fledgling democracies.   People tired of the bickering of their legislators used the internet to replace them at first and eventually change the system. 
It was the young people who grew up understanding that unity is better for commerce and other living things.   They, over a generation or two, drove out the money changers and reformed the financial system.  
They and the mothers and the grandmothers were the ones that understood that war was useless, made no sense whatsoever, and thus peace began to spread all over the world.  No more mothers and grandmothers had to send their sons and daughters off to die, instead they taught their children to take the hand of the other, no matter who they were.  They and their children and grandchildren had at last brought “peace on earth, goodwill toward man”. 
It was during this period that enough men and women of vision were able to realize that there was unlimited renewable power in the wind, the sun, the waves, and the heat produced by the earth itself.   Honest fortunes were made.   A period of unprecedented creation in art and music had begun.  
This was a time that Spirit awakened in flesh and the Creator was able to openly and lovingly share its Creation with it’s created.  

Remember....

Remember, my child, child of the universe, child of the earth, you are so loved... and you are never, never alone.   Remember this.....

Today I walk in Beauty...

Today I walk in Beauty
Today I feel the sunshine in my soul.
Today I see the Creator in everything around me
Today I know that all is well.

What do they spell?

Shintoism, Taoism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Jainism, Baha'i, Hinduism, Paganism, Wicca, Confucianism, Aboriginal traditions, Shamanism, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism, Atheism...
What do all the above spell?   GOD.   They all are the result of a search for God.  Even Atheists who are often adamant about "no god" are the result of a search for God.   And no matter how much we tend to deify those who start these religions, whether masters, prophets, disciples, the oral and written traditions of ALL of the above, all religious belief, were filtered through humans. 

A Gift of Spirit....

Popular in the new age community and in some eastern traditions, Namaste is a greeting that says, "The God/Goddess Spirit within me recognizes and honors the God/Goddess Spirit within you.” from (http://healing.about.com/od/n/g/g_namaste.htm)
It acknowledges that humans are flesh and spirit and honors both.  I believe that often we do not see and rarely honor that spark of God that is within ourselves let alone the other.   You can give yourself a gift as well as giving the other, whether it be a family member, a stranger, an animal, a bird, the planet, the gift of recognizing the God/Goddess/Spirit in them.   Think on this and give yourself and another a gift.. A gift of spirit.    Namaste...
