Of Spirit and Horse Farts

Daily now my understanding grows.  It is as this quote from A COURSE IN MIRACLES  “Like a song whose name is long forgotten, and the circumstances in which you heard completely unremembered. Not the whole song has stayed with you, but just a little wisp of melody, attached not to a person or a place, or anything particular. But you remember, from just this little part, how lovely was the song, how wonderful the setting where you heard it, and how you loved those who were there, and listened with you.” 
And suddenly those lyrics of the song of spirit, all come flooding back and you start to hum and then sing the entire song.  
That passage ends with this, “And, when you see it in each other, you ARE remembering for everyone.”
Yesterday I was sitting at the table outside, the sun was out part of the time, it was nice...  Occasionally a hawk would be circling above.   I was writing and remembering.   Then from across the barnyard one of the horses farted.   It brought a smile to my face and brought me back to life on planet earth.   The song of spirit was in my soul and I was listening to the song of earth.  Then she farted again....  An impressive punctuation mark, don’t you think? 

More numbers today...

Have you seen alot of elevens lately.  You know, like on your digital clocks.  11:11, 7:11. I certainly have.  and the date today is one with two elevens and one seven.  Remember last week we had two sevens and then the year 2011. 
That date had a lot of powerful energy for me.   I’m wondering what today will bring. 
Eleven is a master number with the vibration of illumination and enlightenment.   The seven is a number with the vibration of spirituality, completeness and introspection.   And again we have the 2011 which is the year of the planet, Gaia, the earth.   A powerful combination, is it not?
I would suggest again, pausing for a time today and draw the energy to you.  Open yourself to enlightenment and illumination.   What is it that you need some illumination on?  Use the vibration of the seven to allow a little introspection.   Send the planet your love and gratitude.  Ask the universe for that enlightenment and illumination.  You might be surprised how well it works. 

Our gift to life...

If you had a gift to give to the world, a legacy of some kind, to leave behind you, what would it be?   I have thought a lot about this very question for myself and I will revisit this in a year and see if it is the same.  But for now:
What I would consider my legacy to be would be my awareness of two things.   My first Awareness that I would tell people about, that I would leave as my legacy, would be that we are all ONE, completely connected, made of the same stuff and despite our separation and differences, humans are really Many parts of One.   I honor and celebrate this awareness by wearing a white plastic bracelet that has the word ONE embossed on it.  This bracelet is from a great organization called One.org that works to eliminate hunger and aids from Africa and the planet.  I wear the bracelet because it constantly reminds me that we are ONE.
The second awareness I would leave with the world are my ideas and understandings of God and the fact that God is so much more, so more beautiful, so much more awe inspiring than we can ever imagine. 
Oh, and perhaps, there really is one more thing... and that is that all is well with my soul and with the world.  In spite of all that happens that we judge good or bad, positive or negative, that all really is O.K.

Today is 7/7/2011.  In numerology the numbers 7 and 11 have very high spiritual vibrations. The year 2011 is the year of the planet, Mother Earth, of Gaia.     Add to that the double vibration of the 7, the vibration of Spirituality, completeness, and introspection, we have a very powerful vibration for this day, July 7, 2011.  Pause for a moment or more, today.  Feel that high vibration, draw it to you, ground yourself with it.  Send the planet your love and gratitude.  This is a good day to make contact with your Higher Self, the part of you that is in constant connection with you, others, the world and All That Is.  Happy high vibration.   Happy July 7th. 

My Beliefs and My Joy...

Spiritual Mastery

What did the great spiritual masters all have in common?
Unconditional Love
They did not take things personally
They saw the Divine in everyone and everything
They knew how to handle fear
They did not judge

Independence Day.... Independence from a higher perspective

For whatever reason I am not one to celebrate holidays.   I find them a bit of a nuisance, except I liked having the day off from work when I worked full time.  Perhaps, it is the crowds, the noise, I really don’t know why I don’t like holidays.   So on this July 4th, I am going to write about independence from a higher perspective.   
I don’t have a date, and perhaps there isn’t a specific date I could point to but I consider my independence day to be the day that I decided that most of what our organizations give us is illusion, possibly downright lies and I wanted to find out the truth, what ever that might be.  A great many countries have holidays called “Independence day” and most of them refer to a date when some great battle or some declaration was made that freed them from the tyranny of a person or country.   I think the internet now has a great deal to do with more tyrants falling, more people around the world claiming their independence.   Take a look at your own life, what tyrants have control of your emotions, your life, your happiness?
Ask the questions, ask for help, decide you can overthrow those tyrants, habits, addictions, materialism, what ever they might be, and declare your own day of independence.   It’s a good feeling and will move you a long distance along your path of spiritual understanding.  You can choose to become the powerful loving being you were meant to be.
