Earth Guardians....

I have written before about youth that are being born with much more awareness than the generations who came before.  Often they appear as prodigies and are recognizable by their intensity and even at a young age, their abilities.   Here is a group of those youth.  There are more, they are all over, they are all ages.  Look for them, give them support and assistance.
This group is Earth Guardians:

It's So Easy to Hate...

It is so easy to say “I hate”.  I hate when my finger hurts.  I hate that politician.  To your child, ‘I hate when you do that’.  I suppose it would be nice if things got better when we say ‘I hate’, but unfortunately they don’t.   And in fact, to say those strong words may do more harm than good.   It is better to be aware of using negativities as these and if you want to cancel the negativity use words such as, ‘I forgive my finger for hurting, and I forgive myself for feeling the negativity of pain’.   It is so important to be aware of what we say to others, the universe and ourselves.   Wouldn’t you much prefer to have something positive, such as a blessing or a smile, making ripples out into the universe?

Pain and Suffering...

Sometimes we are so caught up in our own world that we fail to notice the pain and suffering that goes on around us.  And we live in the country that is probably the richest nation in the world.   Having worked as a social worker my entire life I have been exposed to pain and suffering within my world and yet I can little fathom the suffering going on in the refugee camps of Africa resulting from genocide and hunger.  I can’t imagine what the people of Haiti have gone through during and after the devastating earthquake and subsequent attempts to recover and find some semblance of normalcy.
There is a lot of pain and suffering in the world.  Siddhartha Gautama the historical figure who became the Buddha is said to have left his princely palace as a young man only to find death and suffering.
Stories abound of Jesus healing the sick, feeding the hungry.  I think it is a safe bet that he knew about pain and suffering.  Are you aware of the pain and suffering around you and in far off places?  These who suffer, who are concerned about survival needs, food, shelter, medical care, have very little chance of climbing the spiritual ladder until some of those needs are met.  What can we do?  A smile or an unspoken blessing is a good way to start.  My dear friend always took a plate of food from his holiday feast to the streetperson that slept in a doorway close.   Buying an extra can of food to go to a food bank or volunteering at a food bank or soup kitchen are ways that can be helpful.
When you look at yourself and complain about an ache or a pain be grateful for the roof over your head.   When you are passed over for a raise at work, be grateful for a job.
Take a look around you.  Perhaps the greatest thing anyone can do is simply to be aware and realize how much suffering and pain is in the world.

We Need our Bodies but we are Not our Body...

Have you read accounts of out of body experiences or near death experiences?
The accounts all speak of how the spirit body leaves the physical body and floats above it and even moves away from it.   They speak of moving distances and report seeing things that are at a distance from the body and, of course, in the near death experience the spirit moves away from the body and is reported to go to through the tunnel to the light to spiritual levels where eventually it is told it must go back.
The reason for speaking of these things is to illustrate how we as humans identify with the body.   This body is me, I am this person and this is my body.   The accounts tell us that the truth is closer to the idea that we identify with the body but we are not the body.  That part of us that is aware leaves the body.  When the spirit is out of the body the body basically is a thing.  It is a shell that we have sloughed off.  It is not me...
As humans we over identify with the body.  In order to function here we have to identify with our body but when we over identify with it we start thinking we are the body and the connection to our spirit and to God gets weaker.   Consciousness and awareness does not need the physical body.    We need our bodies to live on earth but it might behoove us to remember that we are not our bodies.

The View is Never the Same...

Perhaps it was the presence of children of all backgrounds and levels of inner awareness or perhaps it was the presence outside of street people, junkies, recovering addicts, the mentally ill...  Perhaps it was simply the right time.   The consciousness expanded and these ‘others’ were seen for what they are... the children of God AND children of the earth.   It was a knowing that few individuals can be more than what they are.  Levels of consciousness must reach a point where the search for meaning and spiritual understanding have a draw that cannot be denied and where there is an attractive light at the end of some tunnel glimpsed or felt.   The choice of awareness and looking for truth is a strange mixture of longing, awareness and the grace of God.   The individual ego cannot do it alone but God does not force.
The window closed...  The children were once more fascinated, loud, earthbound.  Outside the street people lighted their cigarettes, the mentally ill listened for the voices they could no longer hear because they had been dulled by the most affordable chemical.
The view is never the same after a window of awareness opens and closes.

Choose Awareness...

Choose Awareness, Love, Joy, Forgiveness, Compassion.  Without awareness you may have been chosen by negativity, anxiety, worry, guilt, shame and fear.  And what I mean by ‘you may have been chosen’ is that often we were influenced even as a small child by the negative emotions of our family, church, and others of influence close to us.   Without knowing it we have been living under that influence.  Choose awareness and start living...  truly living...

You Do Affect The World....

As humans begin to see through the lies and greed of the past and as we move toward a caring peaceful humanity there will be increased resistance of letting go of that past.  The changes that are taking place on the planet will effect all of us and all corners of the planet.  Whatever you believe and where ever you are you WILL be affected.   I am suggesting that life will go better for you through all of these changes if you pay attention to what you do, look at your motivation for what you do, and keep in mind that what you do does effect those around you and the world in general.  As you keep your awareness on what you do whether it is doing your laundry, building a building, buying property, raising your children, just remember that what you do does AFFECT THE WORLD.    This will become more and more evident as we get deeper into the changes on our planet.

Listen to your heart and Open your eyes...

There is an old song by the Sandpipers called “Come Saturday Morning”.
It has these words:
“Come Saturday morning, I'm goin' away with my friend We'll Saturday-spend till the end of the day, just I and my friend We'll travel for miles in our Saturday smiles and then we'll move on But we will remember long after Saturday's gone.”
I have a friend like that.  And our Saturdays (and Sundays) are turning out to be a lesson for me in trust, intuition, synchronicity, and stepping out of the box.   My friend was trying to decide betweens several places for us to go on Saturday and finally decided on one after expressing how much he would like to go to one of the other places.   We went with our cameras looking to find birds to identify and photograph.  We found few birds but we had a wonderful, safe encounter (from a safe distance) with a momma black bear and two cubs.  What a wonderful sight, and we took some nice images with our long lenses.   I’m glad he went with his intuition and we went there.    Then Sunday, the same thing.  Where to go?  He decided on a place and we went.  I was objecting to one trail because a family with rather noisy children were going that way.  So we went out on a low tide sandbar and there had wonderful encounters, as in flying right over us, with several Ospreys, the beautiful bird of prey known as the fish eagle or sea eagle.  We got more pictures and felt so good out in nature with these beautiful birds who dive in the water to get fish for food.  He then suggested that we walk along the sandbar close to the shore and I was reluctant because it didn’t look like an easy walk.  We went.   I suddenly called to him to stop and look.  I had seen under some over hanging brush against the shore a beautiful deer, a doe, lying there in the shade just keeping cool in the warmth of the day.  She did not try to run away and we took some great pictures.   We walked on not wanting to disturb her further.   Two perfect days, fun and full.   He followed his intuition about where to go.  He stepped out his comfort zone just a little to watch the bears.  We followed his intuition to go out on the sandbar to see what we could see.  I stepped out of my comfort zone and walked with him along the shoreline.    Keep following your intuition, my friend.  I will keep pushing back the walls of my comfort zone.
Be aware of the decisions you make and what happens when you make them.  Be aware of your surroundings.  You can learn to live a fuller, happier life.  And who knows how many deer and bears you have been missing.
“Come Saturday morning, I’m going away with my friend.”

Pay Attention to Coincidence.

In 1996 James Redfield published a novel entitled THE CELESTINE PROPHECY in which he puts forth 9 insights into life.  The first of those insights is about meaningful coincidences. “We are at a point in the developmental history of human consciousness where development will accelerate. The major evidence for this is the increased number of meaningful coincidences people are noticing in their lives.”
http://www.gurus.org/dougdeb/Courses/bestsellers/Celestine/Insights.htm
I’m finding this increased number of coincidences is happening to me and it is so much fun.  I have referred to this phenomena previously as synchronicity.
You have to be aware of what is happening and that these ‘coincidences’ are waiting for you right around the corner.
Look for connections for example if you meet a person for the first time.  Perhaps they look really familiar to you, you have very similar interests.  A shared interest in eagles and other raptors, the person is an artist and share artistic interest with you:  these are only a couple of the types of connections.   These two happened to me.  One of these I almost failed to act upon because of my shyness and mistrust of people.  I would have missed a great opportunity and a great friendship.  As stated in the insight from Mr. Redfield’s book, these meaningful coincidences are happening more and faster in my life.   I now wonder if they were there before but I had just failed to see them or respond to them.  Keep all your senses open to be aware of these synchronicities/coincidences.
I’m glad that life keeps giving us opportunities if we let it.

Losing the Bias of Fear...

Yesterday I reviewed general information about fear.  Today I want to get a little more specific.  A lot of us who have some awareness of what is going on are very sensitive to personal and global conditions.  That awareness gives us the feeling that if we know more of what is going on we have a responsibility to do something about it.  The thoughts go something like this:  ‘why can’t you see what is going on?  The world is falling apart, we are all in danger of radiation, war, financial collapse...( place your fear right here....) we have to get busy, we have to do something about it.”
Our fear of these things keeps us from effectively doing anything about them.  What we focus on is what we get.  If we focus on our fear and the negative effects of climate change, broken nuclear power plants spewing radiation into the air and the earth, you can name more, I’m sure, we will help perpetuate things or at the least be not very effective in our efforts to help.  “But”, you say, “these are real threats, things are really bad.  We have to do something.”
So what can we do about the condition of the world and our own fear of that condition?
First know that the only way to save the world is to first save ourselves.  I know that sounds so very cliche but it makes sense.  If we live in fear we can not be effective in working for the good.
Work on the fear.  Face it.  Understand it.  Your life, your energy, your abilities will be clearer and stronger.  When you send love and healing energy to others, the planet, the situations there will be less bias.  Send energy to places that need it and that energy can be used to reinforce the planet or a group or an individual giving the space for the situation to start taking care of itself.  If you are full of fear, or anger, or hate whatever prayers you send, what ever love you send, what ever healing energy you try to use will be biased, tainted by that fear, that negative emotion that is so strong in you.  This is why it is important to heal yourself.   When you have started to heal yourself and are mindful of your own emotions you can send out from yourself a blanket of calm energy that can seriously be of help in the world.  And if there is more for you today you will be better prepared to find that task and complete it.   Lose the fear and become clear.

Your Sphere of Influence...

It is important to remember how much of an influence we are in the world.  And I say world because of the global influence of the internet, the airplane...  instant access to one another across the entire globe.   We don’t realize how much our connections with each other touch not only those close to us but circles out like ripples in the pond touching far shores.  Take facebook alone,  You make a comment or post an image, your friends see it, they post it because its cool or not cool, how many more then see it and repost it again.  And if you take into account energy that moves out from us, our thoughts, our auras touching each other and the planet, our sphere of influence widens...  be aware of your sphere of influence...  be aware of how you affect people...

Awakening is Awareness...

The built in search for meaning that humans have is the built in gps system that will help us remember our way back to the Creator.   Often however we bury that search in dogma or under the mass of human pain some encounter.   Do you know where your search is?  Awakening is Awareness.

Self awareness, self healing.... healing the world...

We often feel like we should be doing more to make this world a better place.  And there are many who are doing much.   But there continues to be so much war and violence, the financial state of the world seems so precarious, there seems to be an increase of deadly diseases and chronic conditions.  And with the media focused on  the negativity we often do not learn of all of the good, positive things that are being done.
So what can we do?  We can do the very thing that would solve the world problems.   We can work on our self.
It is simple but would eventually solve all problems if we all were to take responsibility for ourselves and do what we can to improve ourselves.   Too much to ask of everyone, well probably,  too much to ask of myself... no,  I can do it...  Self awareness, self responsibility, self healing.... healing the world...

And so it is.....

There are those among us who sleepwalk through life.   It is then up to the awakened ones, those with some awareness, to be the lighthouse, the beacon by which they start to wake up to realize there is more than the life they live.    Our match lit in a world that is often so dark we cannot see our way, will light a beacon by which all can eventually find their way.    Find a quiet moment, speak to the God within.  Set your intention to increase your awareness.   Set your intent to live life more fully awake.   And so it is....

Our gift to life...

If you had a gift to give to the world, a legacy of some kind, to leave behind you, what would it be?   I have thought a lot about this very question for myself and I will revisit this in a year and see if it is the same.  But for now:
What I would consider my legacy to be would be my awareness of two things.   My first Awareness that I would tell people about, that I would leave as my legacy, would be that we are all ONE, completely connected, made of the same stuff and despite our separation and differences, humans are really Many parts of One.   I honor and celebrate this awareness by wearing a white plastic bracelet that has the word ONE embossed on it.  This bracelet is from a great organization called One.org that works to eliminate hunger and aids from Africa and the planet.  I wear the bracelet because it constantly reminds me that we are ONE.
The second awareness I would leave with the world are my ideas and understandings of God and the fact that God is so much more, so more beautiful, so much more awe inspiring than we can ever imagine.
Oh, and perhaps, there really is one more thing... and that is that all is well with my soul and with the world.  In spite of all that happens that we judge good or bad, positive or negative, that all really is O.K.
What is the gift that you would leave, your legacy, to the world?
